Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a drainage pump and a sewage pump?

A drainage pump is for clean and lightly dirty water with small particles: basements, pits, rainwater. Conforto pumps pass solids up to 50 mm. A sewage pump is for wastewater with fibres and large solids and has a cutter or a vortex impeller.

Which pump is for dirty water?

For water with sand, silt and larger particles, choose the Conforto GXB (up to 50 mm) or FL (up to 29 mm). The S range is for clean water with particles up to 7 mm, the FH gives the highest flow (up to 58.5 m³/h) and the TS the highest head (up to 24 m). For water with fibres and sewage, see the wastewater pumps.

Can the pump stay in the pit permanently?

Yes. With a float switch the pump starts on its own when the water rises and stops when the pit is empty, so the basement stays protected when nobody is home.

Need help choosing a pump?

Tell us about the site: flow, head or volume, type of water and where it will be installed. We will suggest a model and a quote with supply, installation and service.
