Which water treatment system do I need?

The water analysis decides. Hard water needs a softener, iron and manganese a Pyrolox filter (BlueSoft PA), arsenic a BlueSoft AS, chlorine and odour activated carbon (AT), bacteria a UV steriliser, sand a hydrocyclone. For drinking water with a lot of dissolved salts or nitrates, reverse osmosis is added.

Is there a system that solves several problems at once?

Yes. BlueSoft EA with Ecomix-A media softens the water and reduces iron, manganese and ammonia at the same time. It is for borehole and process water. If the water is for drinking, reverse osmosis or another suitably certified system goes after it.

Is a water analysis needed first?

Yes. Without one the system is chosen blindly and often does not solve the problem. We take a sample, have it tested in a lab and propose a solution based on the results.

What upkeep do the systems need?

A softener needs salt in the brine tank, filters need backwashing and media replacement on schedule, the UV lamp is changed once a year and the reverse osmosis membrane every 2 to 3 years. We take care of upkeep under an annual contract.
